WORSHIP SERVICES
Sunday Morning Worship involves fellowship, worship through music,
and the proclamation of God's Word.
While we as humans are not perfect in anything we do,
we certainly come together to worship a perfect God!
Sunday School begins at 10:00. Bible Study Groups are available for Senior Adults, Adults and Young Adults, Youth (grades 6th - 12th), and children (for ages 3-12). A nursery is also provided during both Sunday School and Worship.
Sunday Morning Worship begins at 11:00 am
Evening Series begins at 6:30 p.m. in the church Fellowship Hall and consists of informal, yet quality discussion-based bible study time.
About our Sunday Morning Worship Services Worship is centered around God's Word. The songs selected for worship are intended "to proclaim the excellencies of him who called [us] from darkness into his marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9). Our worship style is a combination of contemporary songs and traditional hymns. Unlike the majority of Southern Baptists, we join in the Lord's Supper twelve times a year, the first Sunday of every month; we enjoy the Table Fellowship with one another and Our Lord. Also, we take time in our worship simply to hear the reading of God's Word. The preaching style is Expository, simply meaning that the focus of the message is Scripture itself and its application to our lives. Typically we walk section by section through an entire book of the Bible. Currently, we are studying Malachi (as of September '11). To hear previous sermons, click here.
About our Sunday Evening Series The teaching format on Sunday evenings is quite different than on Sunday Mornings. The format is a bit more like a Bible Study; Interaction is enjoyed and encouraged. Sunday Evening serves as a great time to handle important topical issues. Currently (as of October '11), we are in a video teaching series by Ray Vander Laan entitled, "Walk as Jesus Walked"This is a fascinating study that helps us to understand in a broader light the call to live as disciples of Jesus. Come, learn, and enjoy a deeper relationship with our great God!
